Summer water in St Ives has stunning turquoise greens and blues; crisp salty water on white sands. I wanted to indulge in those tropical jewel tones of the sea by omitting the coastline for this painting and immersing in the water, using subtle mark making to create a sense of movement. This painting was created with oil paints to get a strong depth of colour and blended tones. This painting is ready to frame.
