Natalie made this large cup on her wheel using white stoneware clay.
 
The glaze at the tops matt and white and the glaze below is shiny and blue and where they meet looks like the surf on the beach. They are hand thrown so all slightly different.
Mugs hold approximately 14 fl/oz or 400ml -perfect for your daily cuppa and hot chocolate!
 
Initials NB are generally stamped on the side of her work along with 'Cornwall'
It's been fired to 1240 degrees centigrade and is glazed with a tactile handmade smooth eggshell feel glaze.

Each cup measures roughly 14cm from the edge of the handle to the opposite side, 11.5cm in diameter and 7.5cm high.
 
Natalie's studio is in Constantine, near Falmouth and she has been a potter since 2001 and qualified in Studio Ceramics with a BA(hons) at Falmouth College of Art in 2004 . She is a member of the official Made in Cornwall Scheme.
