Contemporary style, recycled bottle glass bead earrings made by St Austell based jewellery maker Sarah Drew.

The eco-silver wires are handmade and have a satin finish too. The  bead is 6-8mm round and should sit around 5mm below your ear-lobe.

The gorgeous textured glass beads are sourced Fair-trade from Oklah Tetteh in Ghana.

The beads are all handmade so will vary a bit in shape and colour, but that’s part of their beauty.

Presented in a new recycled card gift box.

Sarah Drew is famed for being one of the first jewellers to embrace working in Eco-silver and using sea glass beads and sea plastic in her jewellery designs. She has published a book on the subject: Wild Jewellery: A Complete Guide to Making Statement Jewellery from Found Objects by Sarah Drew

What is Eco-silver? Eco-silver is a green alternative to sterling silver. It is a little bit more expensive but has the same silver content as sterling, it’s just made of 100% recycled and scrap silver products. Eco Silver can be both treated and worked with in the same way as silver, for the same quality results but more environmentally friendly. Produced from scrap jewellery, medical equipment, electronics and giftware, all the eco silver used comes with a certificate of authenticity and is hallmarked if it is the required weight.
